Marco Büchel

Alpine Skiing

"I am grateful for all the opportunities I have been offered in life to be successful in my sport and to realize my goals and dreams. I would like to return the favor as an athlete ambassador for Right To Play and pass some of this on to disadvantaged children around the world. Through their active participation in Right To Play's play and sports programs, the children experience the best values of sport such as teamwork, fair play, respect and discipline, and can thus create joy, hope and courage for their own future."

Marco Büchel from Liechtenstein was one of the most famous ski racers in the world during his 20-year career. After winning four World Cups and six Olympic Games, he retired in 2010. Today he is active in a variety of roles, be it as a race analyst in front of the camera or in athlete support. Since 2008, he has been active as an athlete ambassador for Right To Play and, in addition to his frequent involvement in events, has already taken part in two field trips to project countries.
