Question 3 Answer

One of the more unfair aspects of the learning gap is how it limits young women’s futures. Girls’ education is seen as less important than boys’ because of discriminatory beliefs about what’s appropriate for them. Millions of girls around the world never get to go to school because of these beliefs. Millions more are forced to leave as a result of early marriage and early pregnancy. The more education a girl has, the less likely she is to experience abuses of her rights, and the more likely she is to resist them effectively when someone tries. The same cognitive, social, and emotional skills girls learn through play help them speak up when people try to take advantage of them or treat them unfairly.
