Amadou joined RTP in 2006, in the role of Project Assistant and had the opportunity to grow and hold several positions including Project Coordinator, Program Manager, Country Manager and later Country Director (Mali). He was given an opportunity to serve as a dual CD for Rwanda and Burundi in 2017. Amadou was also the winner of the Global Outstanding Leadership Award, 2017.

From 2012 to 2017, Amadou and his team had grown Mali CO into one of the largest country programs with support from the global teams. He initiated several education programs in partnership with the Ministry of Education where our play-based learning approach was well received.

Later, he joined African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Next Einstein Initiative (AIMS – NEI) where he served as Executive Director and Director of Skills for Employability covering 13 Francophone countries and was based in Senegal. He was Country Director for Christian Blind Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo since August 2020 before coming back to RTP on July 2023.
