Tanguy Nef

Slalom

"Nothing is more satisfying, than to see a smile on a kid’s face - it is a pure and instinctive revelation of satisfaction. Skiing gives me the same beneficent feeling. Delivering this smile is my quest."

Tanguy Nef started skiing at the age of 2 on the slopes of central Valais. After his training at the national performance centre in Brig, the Swiss Matura and his studies at the famous Dartmouth College (USA), he won the coveted title of American NCAA individual champion in the special slalom in 2020 and the title in the giant slalom in 2021. Tanguy was selected by Swiss Ski in 2020 for his first World Cup start in the slalom in Levi (Finland) - and finished eleventh in his first race. Tanguy is putting all his energy into becoming one of the best slalom specialists in the World Cup. His ultimate goals are to win several World Cup races in Slalom and later in Giant Slalom, as well as medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships.
