Qasida's father was killed during the Syrian Civil War. Her mother took her and her siblings and fled to Jordan, where they now live in a refugee camp.

But Qasida was haunted by the atrocities she witnessed during the war, and struggled in school, until she found the psychosocial support she needed in a Right To Play program.
