Eric-A. Balet

Since 2017, Eric Balet has been committed with Right To Play Switzerland as an honorary member of the Board. Now retired, he worked at Groupe Téléverbier SA, as CEO between 2003 and 2017 and as Delegate of the Board of Directors from 2017 to 2021. Eric-A. Balet (CH/1956) is currently Chairman of the Board Management Systems SA group in Sion, which operates in the field of specialised databases and condominium management. He was also Vice-President of Swiss Mountain Railways from 2015 to 2021 and a member of the Board of Switzerland Tourism from 2016 to 2022. This after an initial career as a journalist at the Tribune de Genève from 1980-1991 and as director and president of the Société de la Télécabine de Vercorin SA from 1991-2011.
Eric Balet studied law at the University of Geneva. He is a keen skier, sailor, fisherman and philatelist and lives in Vercorin.
Every year he organises the "Mémorial Estelle Balet", a charity golf tournament in memory of his daughter, Estelle Balet, who died in an accident in 2016. She was a Right To Play ambassador and two-time freeride world champion. The tournament is known for the participation of renowned athletes such as Bernhard Russi, Marc Girardelli, Roland Collombin, Daniel Yule and others.
