JOINTLY GET THINGS MOVING WITH MOVEMENT

Sonja and Annette

On August 17, 2024, Annette Syz, National Director of Right To Play Switzerland, and co-founder Sonja Ringdal set off on a hiking adventure around beautiful Lake Zurich.
With rucksacks and headlamps, they will take a panoramic trail over hills, ravines, meadows, forests and bridges. The ultimate outdoor challenge from RockandHike: 100 km in 24 hours, non-stop. You hike together for a good cause under the motto: "Jointly get things moving with movement".

This challenge will undoubtedly push us to our limits, give us sore feet, rob us of sleep, raise our pulse rate and much more, and definitely make us sweat more than chat." - Annette Syz

Both hikers have been preparing for their challenge for weeks.
Training Reality Check #1 was successfully completed. The Rigimarsch from Bremgarten (AG) to the Rigi with its 65 performance kilometers on 8 May was an initially wet, but super great experience with over 1,800 participants.
The next longer training session was the 37 km hike around Lake Walen in June. The last stage of the "official" route from Horgen to the Saalsporthalle with over 20 km was an adventure in itself, with an involuntary thunderstorm break but no less motivation.

We will prepare thoroughly, push ourselves to the limit, on all fours if we must - Annette Syz

Annette and Sonja are not taking on this challenge for themselves alone, but to ensure that marginalized children can benefit from play-based learning. This is to enable them to have a self-determined future in which they find security and a sense of belonging, discover the joy of learning and learn to stand up for their rights.

Moving a lot together with exercise.

The journey is the reward, and the two hikers are looking forward to your company and support, because this is not a solo mission.

We cordially invite you to sponsor as many of these 100,000 meters of walking as you think is right or possible. Thank you to everyone who has already "done their bit".

Tips, tricks and other wisdom before, during and around our hiking adventure, whether physical, mental or emotional, are also very welcome!

Thank you for joining us in setting these children's future in motion and creating change.
